To those who actually read the website and/or my weekly scrawl, thanks! Here is a gift for doing so...if you consider mix CDs a gift. These are my "Best of 2009" CDs I handed out to friends at the end of the year. Looking at the tracklist, I realized they would be a pretty good companion to my list of favorite albums, because while a handful of tunes stem from albums on said list, a whole bunch of the songs are from albums that are nowhere to be found on my list. So you know what that means...more songs from bands you've never heard of! Here's the tracklistings (the track info, album art, and all that is included, I'm just posting them here to save you time from downloading in case you happen to hate every single band seen below):

All I ask in return is you turn off shuffle and listen to the tunes in the goddamn order they were intended...well, at least for your first time through. I find best results involve listening to them loudly while driving in a car with the windows down. Also, get 'em while the gettin's good--I'll be deleting them whenever next week's scrawl goes up. And I'll try to make next week's scrawl be about something OTHER than music, haha. I'm open to ideas. Maybe I'll write about how often I used the word "scrawl" in this entry.
