November NPD: Software edition

  9. Wii Music 297K I believe this is the first time Nintendo has claimed more than half the software chart for itself – certainly it’s the first time half of it has been on Wii. Monthly NPD fixtures Wii Play, Wii Fit, and Mario Kart Wii continue to do well, and Wii Music charts after not making it into the top 10 in its first month. Guitar Hero World Tour also sold well, probably because the competition has not shown up to the Wii party just yet. It would be interesting to know just how much Guitar Hero outsold its next gen counterparts, as well as the inverse for Call of Duty World at War.

It’s also worth noting that if PC games were on this chart, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King would’ve been in either second or third place.
