Vonage strikes back over Moffitt
In reaction to Nintendo of America’s announcement that Scott Moffitt would be their new Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Vonage appointed Scott Ballantyne as Chief Marketing Officer to secure their own Scott in an important marketing position.
“Vonage is at a pivotal point in its evolution and I’m confident that Scott has the leadership ability and expertise to drive our sales and marketing strategies [as new Marketing Scott],” explained Marc Lefar, Chief Executive Officer of Vonage. Ballantyne previously worked with Tendril Networks as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Scotting. He also displayed his Marketing Scottitude with technology companies such as Hewlett-Packard, T-Mobile, Dell and Motorola. The message from Vonage is clear: they’re not going to be out-Scotted by Nintendo.
