Nintendo Officially Announces The 23 Flavors of Wii U Software You’ll Have to Choose From at Launch:

And of course along with this information comes both good and bad news. The good is that a new Nintendo system will have a Super Mario game launching alongside it for the first time since the N64 hit stores back in September of 1996. The bad is that these things are gonna run for $59.99 a pop. A quick calculator consultation reveals that if I plan on picking up the deluxe set at $349.99 (which of course I do), the new Mario‘s game and possibly one of the other 22 titles on the following list *cough* Batman: Arkham City: Armored Something or Other *cough*, I’ll be lucky if I make rent that month.

In any case now that we know exactly what to expect, it’s time to start filling out your day one shopping list. Here. Have a gander at some of the stuff you’ll see printed on your long ass receipt this November 18th:

*Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Skylanders Giants

Transformers Prime

Wipeout 3

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition

New Super Mario Bros. U

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge

SiNG Party

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper

Darksiders II

Assassin’s Creed III

ESPN Sports Connection

Just Dance 4

Rabbids Land

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013

Scribblenauts Unlimited

Game Party Champions

Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition*

Not bad, eh? Really Mario and Batman are the only two games that already have spots on my shelf reserved. In addition to this list, Nintendo has also taken the high road by blessing us with a look at what will be available in the system’s “launch window.” But I’m going to go ahead and link you to to check that out. Lord knows poor little Garret could use the hits.
