BEHOLD: The Official “Year of Luigi” 3DS XL is On the Way!

And it’s uh…well, it’s certainly something now isn’t it. Nintendo continues their long running trend of releasing truly strange variations of existing consoles with the freak job you see pictured above. As you can tell by having another glance at the headline, this no doubt limited edition 3DS is timed to coincide with the ongoing “Year of Luigi” festivities. An event that I’m still not convinced wasn’t conjured up by some intern the night before Luigi’s Mansion hit store shelves. Bundled with an SD card containing the upcoming RPG Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, this fresh coat of paint is currently slated to be released on July 18th. Oh right and only in Japan. I hope you didn’t take a hammer to your childhood piggy bank halfway through this paragraph.
