Holidorks Musical Advent Calendar 2013: An unconventional choice, sure
Heyo, I’m taking over today on this Christmas business for the first time. In a startling move, today’s selection does NOT come from a snowy, icy level. In fact, having just played this game recently, I don’t recall there being an ice level of any sort, though there was ice present in some fashion. Anyway enough babbling, open the door and listen to what we’ve got!
Rocket: Robot on Wheels – Arabian FlightThis tune doesn’t sound very Arabian at all! Or at least not how my white Christm-ass has been led to believe Arabian music sounds. Rocket has a rather jazzy soundtrack, and many of the tracks feature bright horns and a snappy pace. This tune’s a bit mellower to suit the free-flying magic carpet level it appears in, and as a result it’s more reminiscent of Vince Guaraldi’s famous jazz core for the seminal TV holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
I may* just go cruise around the neighborhood with this song playing and look at Christmas lights!
*I probably won’t.
