Holidorks Musical Advent Calendar 2013: Let’s Kick Things Off With the Pink Puffba- The Whole Thing’s Wrapped Up!!!

Welcome dear nerds! Throughout the next few weeks, we here at Nintendorks will be celebrating this wonderful time of year by indulging in an age old tradition we just made up: The Holidork Musical Advent Calendar! Yes, that’s right: Each day in December leading up to the 25th, you’ll check in to the site and after reading a few words, hit the jump and be greeted with a video game theme of our choosing. The goal with these selections is all about capturing the mood of the season. Some will be upbeat, cheery and clearly festive while others perhaps a bit more melancholy and “Winter-ish.” They’ll span everything from the original NES up to and including current consoles, so let’s begin shall we?

Today’s composition is called “Buruburu Star” and as you can see, comes from [*Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards*](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirby_64:_The_Crystal_Shards). A game I haven’t played all that much of but with beautiful tracks like this, maybe now’s the time to give it another go. Featuring a driving rhythm, lovely bell effects and a gorgeous string arrangement, this stage music absolutely has the holidays in mind. Hey, this thing supports 4-players!? NEAT.
