What Did You Play? Nobember 2014

All of the big games of the year are pretty much out now, with Captain Toad having dropped on Friday.

I’m playing none of them because I have too many old games and not enough money. But boy howdy do I want a Wii U!

Spelunky – When my PS3 wireless actually decides to work I have fun looking at the Daily Challenge replays that they just added, especially when I die on 1-2 or something and want to see what I missed.

Pinball Arcade – I’ve gone through another frenzy of clearing Wizard goals that have eluded me for so long on tables like Dr. Dude, Cirqus Voltaire, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Just a few left out of the tables I’ve already purchased, and then I can justify buying more for the first time in a while.

Sam & Max Hit the Road – WOO! LucasArts games on GOG! Yay! I got stuck on a couple dumb things which is about par for the course for the best adventure games. Now I have to play The Devil’s Playhouse!

Woah Dave! – Okay, I’ve warmed up to this one a bit more. $5 is still probably 2 or 3 dollars too much for it on 3DS, but it’s a fun little arcade game with a smidgen of depth to it.

The King of Fighters Collection – I am bad/the AI cheats, but I really love the style of the KOF games.

Super Mario 3D Land – Target had it for $15 on Black Friday, one of the few deals I found interesting AND could afford! It’s fun. My expectations have been properly tempered by everyone else playing it before me.

Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut** – Two Playstation Plus freebies that I only played a little. That’s about all I have to say!
